Silhill v Old Wulfrunians

Old Wulfs had the better of the early chances with Brian Flavell unable to slot the ball away inside the six-yard box. For some reason it just wouldn't sit properly for him to make a good connection and was smothered by the Silhill keeper. A true reflection of the score after ten minutes should have been 2-0 to the Wulfs.

Silhill then had a couple of chances themselves but were thwarted by Flying Poppadom Darren Sangha in the Old Wulfs goal.

Unfortunately Darren dropped himself in the smelly stuff on twenty minutes when he was closed down while clearing the ball resulting in a goal off the backside of the big Silhill centre forward.

Martin Dalton then scored Wulfs equaliser after being unleashed down the left by a Jamie Perkins pass. Dalton kept his cool inside the box and cheekily lobbed the on rushing keeper.

Silhill then scored two more goals against the run of play, the first from a good header the second a close range tap in.

The second half was all Wulfs, with several players going close. Every player seemed to be rising to the challenge of not letting the season die.

Wulfs managed to get the all-important first goal of the half from a Ben Jeavons header inside the six-yard box.

With not long left to go Wulfs managed to level up the scores after a long over due goal from Michael Cole.

Every Wulfs player involved on the pitch deserves a massive pat on the back for picking up a point from a game where off the pitch incidents could have cost us dear.

With four games left, Wulfs will entertain Kynoch at the Memorial Ground.

Old Wulfs Man O' the Match: Jim "Boy" Lawton.

Final score: Silhill 3  Old Wulfrunians 3.
